This post brought to you by "oh dear, my comment on someone else's essay is getting rather long... I think this is what having my own blog is for." Said inciting essay was Siderea's "Third Class" defining/discussing the third definition of sociological "class" after the economic and cultural definitions: the Marxist definition. I cannot overstate how much you should read it because statistically speaking you, gentle reader, probably do not have any kind of useful framework on this topic and you will have your fifth eye opened. Anyways...

Down in the comments someone else was discussing how the old saw about "people get more conservative as they get older" seems to have become less true in recent years, if political surveys are to be believed, and it reminded me of my working hypothesis on the topic.
